How Can I Upload?
Simply register for a free account once registered then click on upload and follow the prompts on the left depending on if you want to upload videos, pictures and or audios you click according to what you are uploading and follow the directions.

Why was the upload failed?
Maybe the file was bigger then 25MB for photos and audios, Videos are unlimited and or our server had an error. If you get a server error a lot please send us a message by clicking contact us at the bottom of the page and describe what kind of error message you received.

What's the maximum file size?
Maximum file size is 25MB per photo and audio file and videos are unlimited size.

What file types are allowed?
All file types are allowed! We have no limitations on file types like other similar services have. Videos will automatically be converted to proper format for our site.

How long will a file be online?
We don't delete any files, audios and or videos they will stay forever. They will be able to be linked at anytime on our site and we reserve the right to use anything on the site unless otherwise stated on any one of our network of company sites.

Are there any restrictions on the content that I may upload?
Yes, please read our Terms of Service (TOS) click the link at the bottom of the website to see what content is not allowed. As long as a file is legal and not in violation with our TOS we will host it for you!

Login into your account and you can manage all your files from upload menu.

May I direct link/Hotlink to the files I've uploaded?
Yes, as long as this is used for traffic exchange anything else will be banned from the site. If you are on our webmasters link exchange program you can upload your own video and link to it or link to one of the many already on our site to send traffic for the 1:1 trade policy we have. Please use the Link URL which is provided to you to use this feature.

Downloads/videostreams are not working, what can i do?
In case you are using an AOL or Netscape Browser, please try with Internet Explorer or Firefox. If the 'download file' link is working but the video just won't play, make sure you have the latest required codecs installed. Please be aware *.flv, .wmv videos need to be downloaded completely before they will start playing.

How can I delete a file I have uploaded in the past?

Why has my file been deleted?
There could be several reasons. For example: Your file was in violation with our Terms of Service (TOS), you tried to direct link (hotlink) to your file, your file was using an excessive amount of bandwidth or was risking the security of our server. Please remember deleted files cannot be restored and we are in no way responsible for the loss. Hostedfile.com is allowed to delete any file without giving a reason.

How can i report a file which is in violation with the Terms of Service?
From any photo, audio, or video that you are viewing you can click on the report (Picture, Video, Audio) respectively button. Simply fill out the form and enter your reason why you think this file should be removed or is in violation with our TOS. We will review your request as soon as possible and take the appropriate action.
